Ford Mustang, Ford V8, and Ford New Beauty, all visitors to Bluestone.
As part of Writers Week we have had a lot of exciting visitors and items from the past and present at school. Today despite the rain students were able to see up close 3 amazing cars.
Timaru Motors kindly provided us with a 2016 Ford Mustang 5L V8 GT Fastback model. The sound of the engine revving brought everyone out of the classrooms. The Principal wanted to trade his Ford Ka!
Lindsay Prentice showed us his 1937 Ford Flathead V8 Coupe. He has owned this car for the past 30 years.
Graham Rae kindly brought along his 1926 Ford New Beauty. This car has been in his family since 1936. It was brought to New Zealand as a knock down kit in 1926 and built up at Timaru Motors in Sophia Street at a cost of 170 pounds.
Special thanks to Sharlene Heaphy for organising this visit.
Look below for photos of the cars. Note the change in wheels and steering wheels over the years!
