The safety of your child is paramount. We are concerned that many children are on scooters without helmets.

We ask for your support so that all children that ride scooters to and from school wear a helmet. Cars can come out of driveways unexpectedly and when this is combined with the speed some children scooter along the footpath, then accidents can happen very quickly. Wearing a helmet will help to reduce injury. Despite the wearing of a helmet being an expectation at Bluestone we have noticed that a number of students have chosen to ignore this expectation. Some bring their helmets on their handlebars rather than their heads. We are giving a clear message at school and would appreciate if this could be backed up by you at home. Together we may achieve a result that could save your child from serious injury!
