Room 16 video conference with a class from the North Shore of Auckland

Over the past two weeks the students of Room 16 have been having video conferences with students from Murrays Bay Intermediate on Auckland's, North Shore.

We have been communicating through Skype. In pairs we have been getting to know our Auckland buddies and finding out about life in a big city, what its like at their school and their learning experiences.  We have also found out about our buddies passions and hobbies. We are now writing personalised christmas cards to our new buddies.

It has been a fun experience, with students learning communication skills, and the ways we can communicate in the modern age. Some students have already said they will try to keep in touch with their Auckland buddy.
