Bluestone — Jun 18, 2018

Bluestone students competed against the best cross country runners from across our district and showed they have what it takes!

Getting a top result in your school Cross Country is reason enough to feel proud, so to compete against the best from each school across our district is a huge challenge.

With between 50 and 70 highly competitive runners in each race, to get a placing was well earned.

Any top 20 place getters now have the opportunity to enter a training squad and from those some will go on to the South Island Champs to be held in Nelson later this year.

Special acknowledgement must go to Maggie Crosby who was placed 1st in the Girls Year 6 race,  Shakita Green who was placed 4th in the Girls Year 5 race, and Corban Meyer who was placed 7th in the Boys Year 8 race. Great results were also achieved by Nathan Kennedy 12th (Y6 Boys), Joshua Rees 19th (Y8 Boys), Harry Milliken 20th (Y5 Boys), Anahera Smith 20th (Y5 Girls), Maia Liu 20th (Year 6 Girls), and Jainesh Rakshay Nand 20th (Year 8 Boys).
