Remembering the ANZAC Soldiers

Room 11 —

In Room 11 we have been learning about why we wear poppies on ANZAC day and why we have dawn parades. We painted poppies this week as a way to show our respect because ANZAC day is in our school holidays this year.

Here's one of our ANZAC poems from reading this week:

I wear a little poppy

As red as can be,

To show that I respect and remember

Those brave men who fought

To make New Zealand free.
