We love swimming!

Juliet Waud —

Te Tahi have loved the Swim Safety programme at CBay.

This term we have been fortunate enough to complete the swim safety programme at CBay. It has been fantastic to see after such a short time that so many of our students have gained water confidence and water safety skills that they didn't have prior to starting our programme. Lots of children can now put their head under the water, float on their front or back, have learnt how to enter and exit the pool safely, use flotation devices to help them in the water and some have even been lucky enough to use the life jackets.

Some of our room 4 students share their favourite things about swimming...

Wyattt-I liked the lessons where you threw the things in the water.

Amiya- I loved doing the lessons and going in the deep pool.

Lachlan- I liked diving down and getting the sinkers at the bottom.

Theo- When we had the life jackets on, we swam to the other end on our backs.

Aiesha- I liked going in the circle at the end.

Toby- I liked the crocodile calling.

Mohammad- I liked going down the slide at the end.

Cobey- I liked the sinkers.

Dawson- My favourite was when I got to go in the lazy river.
