Room 10 Poems

Justine Reihana —

Room 10 were inspired by spring.

Inspired by the warmer weather and spring arriving the students wrote some poems about the season. We brainstormed what you see, hear and feel in spring. We then wrote acrostic poems. Here are some examples of our poems. If you would like to read more from our class, come into the class and check out our book.

Spring

Spring is the best because I play rugby league.

Peoples' faces start to get happier.

Roses start growing.

Interesting creatures come out of their homes.

No more sad winter faces, they are happy spring comes round again.

Grey skies go away and the sun comes again.

Spring

Sunny Spring days.

Pretty blue skies clear and fine.

Running around outside.

Interesting flowers to look at.

Not that much rain but lots of fun outside.

Graceful butterflies flapping their wings.

Spring

Spring is super.

Piglets are born.

Rabbits play.

I go for long walks.

New plants grow.

Green grass grows all over.

Spring

Sun comes out from behind the grey skies.

People come out to play.

Roses blooming in every way.

Irises glowing in the sun.

Nectar from the blossom trees helping all the honey bees.

Galloping lambs playing in the meadows.

Spring

Spicy chips are my favourite spring food.

Perhaps I can go camping in spring.

Roses are making patterns.

In spring blossoms grow in trees.

New animals are born.

Spring

Sunny days come out more.

People come out of their homes and go for a walk.

Icy mountains melting away.

Nature’s growing and so does everything else.

Grass turns green and so do leaves.

Spring

Sunny days.

Play in the park.

Rabbits play.

Ice creams melt.

Nests have eggs.

Grass grows fast.
