Shooting Marshmallows at Targets
When you transform energy to make food fly it involves science and Room 17 will tell you it's a little crazy and heaps of fun.
The transformation of energy happens when you pull the rubber band on your catapult back, your muscles do the work. This is stored as elastic energy in the rubber band. When you release the band, it does the work on the marshmallow and the elastic energy is transferred in the flying marshmallow. When the marshmallow hits something (the target) it stops and the energy is transferred into heat.
