Team Explorer students have worked hard during the year and it was a difficult task to choose the students in each of our classes who earned merit awards.

Our students who were selected have all been awesome role models by always using our Bluestone Values and have consistently strived to do their best. The following students received merit awards:

Room 12: Max Arps, Khianah Tumai, Sophia Peck, Autumn MacDonell, Isla Eng.

Room 11: Florence Wheatley, Brooklyn Clark, Brooklyn MacDonald, Rebecca Horstmann

Room 10: Sophie Corry, Zoe Diehl, Kahu Georgeson, Tevita Tongaaliki

Room 9:  Sophie Kortright, Noah Carter, William Bates, Evie Henriksen

Room 8: Isla Blades, Harry Patterson, Mitchell Taylor, Areta Weeks

Our Class Councillors also received certificates as recognition of leading our fortnightly assemblies and our class Wā Whānau time each morning. A huge thank you to them all for doing a wonderful job.

Our Kapa Haka group was also recognised for the time and energy they put into their performances.

Congratulations to Mitchell Taylor for receiving the Kiwi Can Award from Tanati and Brenna. Mitchell always participated fully in each session while showing respect to the Leaders and to his classmates.

It was wonderful to have such a great turnout of families in the afternoon to support their children. I am sure each one of you would have enjoyed the afternoon programme which included some beautiful singing from our students. Happy holidays to you all!
