Card Club
Card Club is a lunchtime club where students can play (and/or learn to play) cards.
Our senior students have the option of coming along to Room 5 at Thursday lunchtimes to play cards. The club is run by Mrs Langdon and Mrs Brook.
Playing cards is a fun and engaging activity that students of all ages can enjoy. It helps improve critical thinking, memory, and strategy skills while providing an opportunity for social interaction. Many card games require players to think ahead, make quick decisions, and solve problems, which can enhance cognitive abilities. Additionally, playing cards can teach students important math concepts like counting, probability, and patterns in an enjoyable way. Beyond academics, card games also promote teamwork, patience, and good sportsmanship, as players learn to win and lose gracefully. Whether playing for fun or as a learning tool, card games offer both entertainment and valuable life skills for students.
Some of our junior students are keen to come along and play cards too...watch this space!
