Random Acts of Kindness in High Flyers!

Kelly Phillips —

High Flyers have been looking at 'Random Acts of Kindness' and what this looks like to them. The students have been busy giving and receiving 'Random Acts of Kindness' and reflecting on how it feels to be the giver and the receiver.

The students have looked at the many ways that they can show kindness to others and what it looks like in different environments - some of the ways we have been showing kindness in High Flyers is by making cards to friends and family and learning how to compliment people using New Zealand Sign Language.

We asked some of the students, "What does Kindness mean to you?"

Some of their responses were:

"Helping people when they are in need of help" - Tyler Norrie

"If someone looks sad, try comfort them" - Kyla Warwood

"Treating everyone the same way you want to be treated and supporting everybody" - Macey Tarrant

"Sharing your things with others" - Ameilia Hines

"Opening doors for people" - Leo Hutton

"Using your manner" - Daemon Morey

"Respecting others" - Macy Jones

Below are some of the awesome activities that students in High Flyers have been doing in their classes.
