The Inventor's Lab

Mike Boon —

During the Bluestone School Writer's Week at the end of Term 3, Room 19 came up with some pretty amazing descriptions.

Room 19 has gone through their descriptions from last term and chosen their best, most descriptive sentence to share with you all. Please read them, but be warned, they are a little spooky.... ðŸŽƒðŸ’€

Kaiya: It feels as if the inventor is about to walk into the room and catch me for his experiments.
Breanna: It's Friday night. I'm opening a door into an inventor's basement.
Jesse: You hear bubbling coming from fragile flasks that fizz and pop.
Summer: I go and sit on a chair. It's all wobbly and I think it's going to break.
Matthew: I feel like I need to get out of here.
Rhys: Then someone came in and said, "What are you doing in here? Get out!"
Charlotte: I wonder whose lab this is because all I know is that old Mr. Boon used to live here.
Storm: As I look down I see spiders and lizards. Ouch I fall on the typewriter.
Carys: In the gloomy shadows I see a hairy 8-legged, 100-eyed spider in between the shallow, dark cracks in the corner.
Molly: Does this belong to a scientist? A mad scientist? A crazy, mad scientist?
Alex: One thing - there was also some maths questions on the wall.
Tahliya: There, right in front of me, is bright, colourful chemicals.
Liam: Then I walked into the creepy laboratory.
Conor T: As I walked into the old inventor's house I feel really weird.
Cortez: It was a creepy and scary night.
Maverick: I was on my epic bike when I saw a creepy as hell house.
Blake: As I walk into the old mossy basement I feel like I'm not supposed to be here.
Rylan: As I pull the old, mossy cellar door open I look around.
Adam: As soon as I open the brown, spooky door I hear lots of bubbles bubbling up and popping.
Amy: Knock, knock. I open the squeaky door. This place is amazing.
Lucas: As I slowly open the creaky door I hear bubbly, poisonous sounds.
Connor S: I walked in. I saw a labcoat, chemicals and an x-ray machine. I looked around some more. I see something disturbing.
Emily: Wait! I find a picture of the person who lives here. Oh no! It's my...
Pilot: I go and check the x-ray and it's got a moving skeleton in it.
Izabel: What is that? Is it blood and guts in a jar. Ewww... it's bubbling.
Trevaughn: The only way out was down the stairs. I hesitated but I had to get out.
Lincoln: I turned the handle cautiously and what I saw was horrific!

There were some pretty amazing descriptions published in that last week of term. Mr Boon has turned them into a book which is now available to read in Room 19.
