Congratulations to the Bluestone Bonnies who won the A grade final having gone through the season unbeaten.

We thank Bin Liu for his expert coaching, support and guidance throughout the season.  This girls team dominated the competition from the start of the season and continued on their winning way.  The final was a competitive game but Bluestone were able to convert their possession into points and won by an impressive margin.  Piper Henry was once again named MVP for the season what an awesome achievement!  Connie Dellow and Piper were selected early in the year for a New Zealand age group team to travel to Australia, Connie also attended a camp in Rotorua and was nominated for the South Canterbury Junior Sports Person at the local awards.  

We thank all coaches for their efforts throughout the season, without your support these teams would not be able to happen.  It was great to see more Year 7/8 students involved in Basketball this year, a sport that is rapidly growing in New Zealand.  The skills, fitness, team work relationships, fun times, competitiveness are all showing through and we hope that students can continue playing sport in the future.

It has been a hard to get all team members together at this time of the year, once we do a photo will be taken. 😊
