In Te Tahi, our writing focus for Term 4 is on poetry. This means we have to think about being less literal and more about our senses and describing the world around us.

So far we have written poems about colours, 'Red is the colour of watermelons with tiny black seeds'. We have also had a go at using similes in our writing, 'I am as scared as a lost cat'. The students are enjoying being creative with their writing and using adjectives to describe everyday things. For our next poem we will be exploring our 5 senses.
