Our families and friends got a lovely surprise when they received their postcard in the mail.

At the beginning of this term Room 11 learnt how to write postcard messages. We used our holiday highlights to practice writing brief but interesting messages and included an illustration as a snapshot of our holiday. We really enjoyed writing our holiday postcards and hung them in the classroom so we could read each others messages. They looked great, so we decided to write a real postcard to a family member or friend to thank them or tell them something. We discussed who we could send a postcard to, what we would write and how we could find out their address. After our first draft we neatly wrote our message, addressed the postcard then decorated the front ready for posting. So far most of our postcards have been delivered. We hope the rest get there soon!
