We love swimming!

Beth Rich —

Teams Te Tahi and Creative Creatures are thriving at our Swim Safe sessions.

It has been fantastic to see after such a short time that so many of our students have gained water confidence and water safety skills that the didn't have prior to starting our programme. Lots of children can now put their head under the water, float on their front or back, have learnt how to enter and exit the pool safely, use flotation devices to help them in the water and some have even been lucky enough to use the life jackets.

Some of our room 6 students share their favourite things about swimming so far...

Evah - I love floating with the milk bottles.

Mason - I loved wearing life jackets today.

An-olé - We were wearing life jackets because we were in the big pool and learnt to float on our back and our tummy.

Dinby - I was the fastest to the deep side today.

Spencer - I can do doggy paddle and I can sit on the bottom of the pool.

Rilyn - We learnt how to do backstroke today.

Ahleyah - I like the the pool noodles and diving sticks.

Kayleigh - I like how I can dunk my head under the water now.

Cooper - I like going under the water.

Evie - I like putting my tummy on the step and crawling along like a crocodile.

Olivia - I like swimming with the bottles and the noodles.
