Creative Creatures are learning about Names as part of our Aotearoa New Zealand and Social Sciences learning.

We have looked at our place in the world. The name "New Zealand" and the names of other countries that some of our classmates come from. We have found out the meaning of our own names, and we will be looking at the names of the streets we live in. We will find out why they have the names they have. We will also be looking at the names of famous people in South Canterbury, like Richard Pearse, Colin Murdoch and Jack Lovelock.
