A scorcher day for the running of the South Canterbury Triathlon

We congratulate the efforts of the students who represented Bluestone in the South Canterbury Triathlon.  This is a gruelling event made up of three disciplines.  First it was a 100m, swim, then a run to their bikes and a 2 lap bike ride on grass around the outskirts of Ashbury Park, and then to finish it off with a run around the inside of the field.  This was all done in the heat of a South Canterbury Nor Wester with temperatures making it challenging for all athletes.  A big congratulations to Emily Toomey, Breanna Bagrie and Lucas Tarrant who all competed in the Year 7/8 section.  Emily was thrilled with her efforts gaining her 4th place overall, Breanna came 41st and Lucas 30th.
