Room 12 were very excited to receive postcards from our buddy class in Mangere, Auckland.

At the end of last term Warehouse Stationery ran a promotion to Get NZ Writing. Warehouse Stationery provided free postcards and also sent them for free too. We buddied up with a class of Year 5 and 6 students in Mangere, Auckland.

On our postcard to our buddies we introduced ourselves and told our buddies a little about Timaru, which is very different to Auckland!

During the holidays the postcards were sent and it was very exciting for each class when the postcards arrived early this term.

We are looking forward to writing our penpals a letter next and finding out more about each other and the different places we live.
