Mufti Day -Thursday 02 March

Bluestone —

We have two families who are very dear to us who need our support at the moment.

We are holding a mufti day to raise funds for two of our school whanau. Students are free to dress in mufti for the day in return for a gold coin. There is no theme as we really want our families to have no expense associated with this day. Support our whanau is a priority over fashion at this challenging time.

Fundraiser for the family of Lionati Fotofil

He is the father of two boys – a 14-year-old and 14-month-old, He is the pastor of Timaru’s Church of Tonga, and was fishing for his congregation’s New Year’s Day lunch when he disappeared.

Help Support Isabelle to get Mobile

Fundraising to get Isabelle mobile and be able to enjoy her life at high school better.

Isabelle is a delightful 13 year old girl who was born with hip dysplasia of both her hips. This means the hip sockets are shallow and the hips are sublux (this means the joints are immobilised).

Usually, this condition is corrected by bracing and/or surgery, but in Isabelle’s case, ongoing hip subluxations and multiple surgeries that involved long recovery times have not been successful.

Isabelle has ongoing pain and very limited movement, she currently can only walk with two crutches, and uses a wheelchair for longer distances. This means she has limited sporting or physical activity opportunities that her peers are able to take for granted.

Isabelle’s family attended an expo by Trikes New Zealand, this experience was amazing for Isabelle, she was able to get into one of the trikes independently (something she is unable to do with a normal bike), and was able to pedal all around the arena which she loved immensely.

The mobility and freedom given to Isabelle in this short period resulted in pure joy, however the cost of these trikes has meant the family need assistance to make her dream come true.
