Over the last 5 weeks, teams from Yr5/6 and 7/8 have been completing STEM-based tasks at school competing in the Epro 8 competition.

These tasks were then judged and 3 of those teams qualified for the Quarter Finals last Wednesday night. We had 3 Yr 7/8 teams in the event which saw them spend 2 1/2 hours building and solving problems to earn points. All teams did extremely well all working together to solve the challenges. The last 20 minutes were very exciting, where many teams were trying to earn the last few points to take the top spot. At the end of the night, there was a 5-way tie for 2nd place which included the Bluestone Builders. Only 3 teams could go through to the semifinals. The tiebreaker involved using 1 battery and 3 push buttons to Turn on a motor, a light and a buzzer. 

 Unfortunately, the Bluestone Builders narrowly missed out on going through to the semis. 

All teams did very well on the night.
