Have you considered standing for the Board of Trustee elections at Bluestone?
Our school is governed by a Board of Trustees and we are looking for parents to stand in the coming elections.
Our Bluestone School Board is made up of 6 elected Parent representatives, a Staff elected Trustee, and the Principal. Every 18months, half of the parent trustee positions are up for election as this means we have a continuity of experience on our Board.
Being a Board member involves a monthly meeting in which reports to the Board are discussed and decisions are made to ensure Bluestone School continues to deliver quality education to your children.
You do not need to have specific skills to stand for the Board but rather an open mind to possibilities, a determination to see Bluestone grow and thrive, and an interest in children receiving an education rich in meaningful experiences. If this sounds like you please consider putting your nomination in. You are welcome to talk to one of our current Board members, Tess Taylor, Davinia Howard, Noeline Codyre, Kelly Karton, Hamish Scorrar, Rachel Fenwick, Staff Member Kate Vaughan, or Darren Smith to gain more insight in to the operation of our Board.
