Room 20 in the High Flyers have been getting to know one another. This is a really important part of the year. Spending time on activities which involve setting up routines, working with our new peers and sharing about ourselves.

The students all had fun-filled holiday and created wall selfies of these for display in the class. They also created Figure-Me-Out posters based on equations used to describe things about themselves. This involved some critical thinking and working together with others.

We spent a few hours last week learning about the Treaty of Waitangi and then creating our own class treaty. We are looking forward to a really positive year! 

We have also been using the 6c's and sharing through communicating about ourselves. We have worked in groups to create math 3d shapes and tangrams and used scratch to code our names. Lot's of collaboration in action - this week we are working on Character and Growth Mindset.
