Fibonacci Circles and Perspective Geometry have made for a great Maths Week in Room 14 so far!

Do you know the Fibonacci sequence?  Have you ever created a picture of yourself where you look stuck inside a box? 

Students in Room 14 have been working hard on developing artistic flair in Maths.  Some very simple but effective work has been created.

The Fibonacci sequence is a series of numbers where a number is found by adding up the two numbers before it. Starting with 0 and 1, the sequence goes 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13, 21, 34, and so forth. Written as a rule, the expression is xn = xn-1 + xn-2.

The students applied this rule to create some of the artwork below.
