BREAKERS win in a thrilling final game against Grantlea Downs

Congratulations to the boys year 7/8 team who went through the season unbeaten to pull off an exciting victory in the A Grade final on Monday night.  This proved to be a physical encounter.  Bluestone got away to a brilliant start up 12-0 but Grantlea weren't about to lie down and came back with some very aggressive play and shut down the Bluestone fast break.  The lead evaporated and the boys were made to work hard for every point.  Strong rebounding and a clear height advantage helped us claw our way back after losing the lead for a short time.  The teamwork,  skills and shooting accuracy showed through in the end with Bluestone consolidating to produce their best work towards the end of the game.   Most valuable players for the 2017 season, chosen by SC Basketball was Lucas Mullings and Marcus Sorenson
