Bluestone students show that practice makes perfect 🏆🏆🏆

A strong team of 50 students, (7 teams) took part in the South Canterbury Gymnastics.  

Teams have be practicing since the start of the term to learn and perfect their routines.  7 Weeks of giving up their break times to practice most days of the week paid off in a record winning year for the Bluestone gymnasts.  All teams either won or placed this year.  An outstanding achievement, one of which they can be very proud of.  

Most of these students had never performed in front of judges and many were challenged with the complexity of the routines.  This however didn't stop them from giving it their all and striving to do their best.  

A huge thanks goes out to Mrs Hines and Mrs Heaphy who helped coach these teams.

Thanks also to the parent helpers on the day, those that took transport, those that supported a team and those that judged.  An event this size simply can't run without your help.

I have had so many very proud moments this year coaching these students.  Their efforts, determination and commitment have all been worth it with these fantastic results.

 3rd place 🥉- Year 7/8 A grade - Arabella Shelton, Dynicka Hulse, Samantha Hogg, Helena Shelton, Mackenzie Everett

 2nd place 🥈- Year 7/8 A grade - Mea Prue, Aloeet Silver, Matilda Kerr, Kolby Brookland, Matthew Shaw, Lockie Mitchell 

 1st place 🥇- Year 5/6 A grade - Hollie Cournane, Shakita Green, Anahera Smith, Macie-Jade Watts, Cooper White, Mackenzie Smith
