This term our topic focus is 'Kitchen Science'. Over the past few weeks Room 9 students have had a go at being scientists themselves!

These are the science experiments we have undertaken so far:

- Magic Milk

We investigated what happens when molecules in milk, soap and food colouring are mixed together. We learnt that the soap molecules connect to the fat molecules in the milk, which makes the food colouring get pushed around everywhere resulting in an explosion of colour!

- Popcorn

We made popcorn! We figured out how a hard kernel turns into a fluffy piece of popcorn through heat and pressure.
