Bluestone School performs for the Governor-General of New Zealand!
On Wednesday 9th November, a group of year five and six students performed Six60s hit song 'Pepeha' for the Governor-General of New Zealand.
(From left to right) Caitlyn Mose, Romy Hurst, Inara Malama, Mya Wilson, Annabell Sole, Macey Tarrant, Cooper Hamilton, Yvonne Tongaaliki, Alex Dunn, Oliver Gibb, and George Tongaaliki, have been learning the New Zealand Sign language for the song Pepeha as well as learning the lyrics. The group of students made our school and community extremely proud with a fantastic rendition and performance.
The students received a badge from the Governor-General of New Zealand Dame Cindy which displays a coat of arms from His Majesty King Charles III.
A huge thank you Claire Hamilton who has been giving up her Morning Tea times and Lunch Breaks to teach the students the NZ Sign for the song. Also a thank you to the parents of these students who dropped their children off at the event and made sure they were on time.
