Room 7 hang out with Harold
Room 7 were very upset to miss their lessons when the Life Education van broke down but there were lots of happy faces when Harold came back to Bluestone!
On Tuesday after Queen's Birthday weekend we were very excited to arrive and see the Life Education van in the school car park. It was finally our turn for our lessons with Harold!
Rudi, the Life Education educator, and Harold taught us all about the different food groups, healthy foods to eat and where the food goes in our body. We learned some big words like oesophagus (or o-sausages as Harold called them!) Rudi took an 'x-ray' of Paige and we could see the different parts of her body, including the oesophagus, stomach, small and large intestines. Rudi explained how our body gets nutrients. We learned which food groups we should eat more of and which foods which should eat less of.
We loved our visit with Harold in the Life Education van.
Giovanni: We learned about reading the labels on food to find out the ingredients.
Briarna: We scanned Paige's body to find out what is in the human body.
Brooke: Harold was fun because we got to learn what is good food and what is bad food.
Erikah: I liked learning about the ingredients in food.
Paige: We learned where food comes from.
Alice: The alien asked us what food we eat because he didn't know.
