Last Tuesday, a group of Year 7/8 girls were given the opportunity to take part in the 'She Can Code', technology workshop at the Landing Services Building.

The ' She Can Code' technology workshop is travelling the country inviting girls to explore coding, robotics and computer science in a hands - on environment with the aim of encourage girls to get involved in the tech sector. 

The girls had a great time coding Spheros to drive into a paddling pool via a ramp and learning how binary code ( a special computer number system) works. 

They also had a go at programming wearable technology and creating drawings that they could then hook them up to a computer programme via a circuit system so that they could control parts of their drawings to make certain noises.

It was a great opportunity for the girls to learn more about some of the technology we are fortunate enough to have at Bluestone. They look forward to sharing their new skills with their classmates.
