South Canterbury Year 7/8 Rugby Tournament

Bluestone School competed at the Year 7/8 SC Rugby Tournament 2018 against other South Canterbury Rugby Teams.  8 local primary school teams took part in this tournament. 

 A huge thanks to coaches Michael (Chucky) Eaton and Kris O'Sullivan for their specialist coaching and for the time they have given up to help the team.

The team played Gleniti first up and won that encounter four tries to nil.  Next up they faced Pleasant Point Primary who were a well drilled side which Bluestone couldn't contain.  A powerful Opihi team was next up and once again overpowered the Bluestone team.  However they dug deep for their last match and found some reserves in their tanks beating Waihi in a nail biter, winning 22-17 with a try in the last play of the game.
