Maths Week  (10 - 14 August)

Kay Hines —

Have you ever thought about how maths is part of everyday life and that there are lots of ways we can practise this important part of our learning?

This week is Maths Week at Bluestone and we have been focusing on playing games.  Many students have brought along board games and other kinds of 'mathsy' type games.  We also have a number of classroom board games that are always popular on wet days when we can't go out to play at break times.  Some games we have been playing are Yahtzee, Catopoly (cat version of Monopoly), Halligalli, Battleships, Snakes and Ladders, Ludo, plus other paper games like Bulls and Cows and How Close to 100.  We have been having lots of fun!
