During Term 3 Room 19 participated in a Storyathon competition. Storyathon is an exciting and free online event for Years 3 to 6 students across Australia and New Zealand. Students are challenged to write a story that is EXACTLY 100 words. They are tiny narratives challenging students to tighten their language, experiment with words and focus their message. Term Three’s theme was ‘Australia and/or New Zealand today’. Congratulations to Evelyn Johnston, Baxter Blades, Daemon Morey, Isaac Pringle, Isaiah Pakeha and Ashton Crawford whose stories were selected as finalists in the competition. Students from all over Australia and New Zealand were then able to vote for their favourite story. On Monday morning Isaac discovered his story was voted in the TOP 10. Congratulations Isaac!
