At the beginning of Term 3, students from Y3/4 and Y7/8 have been selected to take part in a Buddy Reading Programme. The focus of this programme is to encourage our students to read for enjoyment and to offer support to our Y3/4 students in choosing and reading a good book.

This has been a very successful programme in the past, which has run at Bluestone for the last several years. The students always respond positively to this programme and it is great to see our Year 7/8 students demonstrate leadership, when reading with our Year 3/4 students. As an added bonus all students enjoy a hot drink and breakfast.

Our Buddy Reading Programme runs before school on a Wednesday, during Term 3, so I would encourage you all to come and have a look for yourselves, at the fantastic reading happening!
