Year 5-8 students cross country results for 2020

West End Park was the venue for the Senior Cross Country this year for the senior students and it proved to be a very challenging course.  Students were given a training programme some weeks back and encouraged to increase their personal fitness prior to the event.  The course was testing with its many hill climbs and uneven terrain but most students coped well.  Congratulations to all who completed the gruelling run.  Thanks to Tracy Rees for the awesome photos 🙂Results are:

Year 7/8 Girls - 1st Sadie Healy, 2nd Kyiah Pinnell, 3rd Helena Shelton

Year 7/8 Boys - 1st Lucas Tarrant, 2nd Sebastian Henderson, 3rd Amarni McLennan

SOUTH CANTERBURY PRIMARY SCHOOLS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM - Waihi School Wednesday 12th August.  First race starts at 11.00am

This event is run in year levels so the team has been picked accordingly:

Year 5 runners: Kyla Beveridge, Hanna Thorp, Mary Thorp, Taya Reid, Elena Knight. Joshua Hill, Jamie Guthrie, Couper Foster, Logan Dunn.

Year 6 runners: Harry Milliken, Ben Davis, Flynn O'Sullivan, Ashton Crawford.

Year 7 runners: Kyiah Pinnell, Amarni McLennan

Year 8 runners: Lucas Tarrant, Sebastian Henderson, Luke Rees, Daniel La Grange, Sadie Healy.

We will be leaving Bluestone around 10am on Wednesday 12th August and should be returning by 2.50pm.  Students will be travelling via mini vans for this event. Students will bring home more info on Tuesday.
