Former Bluestone student named in the NZ Junior All Blacks World Cup Squad

Ian Poulter —

Cullen Grace has been named in the team to play in the Junior World Cup in Argentina.

Since leaving Bluestone Cullen Grace has gone on to Captain the 1st XV at TBHS before moving to Christchurch to the Rugby Academy at Lincoln University.

Since leaving Timaru Cullen has been a member of the Junior Knights (Crusaders B), captained the Canterbury Under 19 team, and played for the Crusaders in a pre season game. Cullen plays for Lincoln in the Christchurch senior competition.  Last weekend Cullen represented NZ  against Australia in the under 20's on the Gold Coast.

This success has only come from lots of hard work, application and commitment. As part of the Crusaders Academy Cullen practises 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day!

At the Junior World Cup in Argentina, NZ has drawn South Africa, Georgia, and Scotland in pool play.

We wish Cullen all the best for this tournament which will be a launching pad for even higher honours. We congratulate Cullen on his impressive success and acknowledge that this is reward for a lot of effort and focus. It is great for our students to understand and appreciate that this is what it takes to realise dreams.
