Food for Thought
High Flyers have been learning all about healthy eating with Karli from Food for Thought.
We had two sessions at school. During the first sessions she taught us about the food groups, and what nutrients are found in our food. On her second visit we learnt how to read the nutritional panel found on all food and what to look for to tell if a food is an everyday food or a sometimes food. Karli also showed us how much sugar was in some of the more popular drinks.
Our third session was a trip to New World where we split into groups and had to search through New World to find one everyday food and one sometimes food from five different categories.
