It's a startling headline but if we don't know about your child starting next year and you live out of zone then we cannot create a place for them. Please make sure you tell reception or prepare to be disappointed.

Bluestone has an Enrolment Zone in place and we want to accommodate your next child, but if you live outside the zone and we don't know that you have a new child turning 5 and starting in 2017 we can't guarantee a place for them. Tell us NOW and we can plan for them coming. 

We need to know before next Friday 26th August.

The Board has to make a very difficult decision  to confirm how many out of zone places we will offer in 2017. Once this is made it cannot be changed.

We want to make sure that families are kept together and Bluestone families do not face the decision to separate their children at two different primary schools. The only way we can do this is by knowing who is planning to start at Bluestone next year.

The board want to give existing Bluestone families who live outside the zone, the opportunity to tell us that they have a new entrant child starting next year. Failure to tell us might mean that there is no place created for your child.

In 2017 there will be only one enrolment period, at the start of the year.  So if your child is due to start later in 2017 we still need to know now! 

The priority system that Bluestone must adhere to, states clearly that siblings get first priority in the ballot, therefore if we know you have a child who you are planning to send to us in 2017, we can do our best to accommodate them in our out of zone places. If we aren't aware then we may not create a place for your child.

We anticipate that there will be very few, if any places made available to new out of zone families in 2017, so that is why our planning has to be accurate.

The Board and management of Bluestone have contacted parents using all means available to establish who is planning to send their child to us next year, but we only know about those that have come forward, put in an enrolment form, or have indicated to the administration team that this is the case. So if you haven't spoken to us or you know a current Bluestone parent that has a child coming to us next year , please tell them to come forward now otherwise they may miss out on a place next year.
