Today was our MKR finale!  After many weeks of planning and preparation, we finally got to showcase our cooking skills in our instant restaurants.

Today Room 19 students competed for the coveted title of MKR champions.

This involved planning a menu, creating recipes, working in teams to allocate ingredients and equipment and - most importantly - cooking and presenting our dishes to the judges.

Preparation took an hour and then we had an hour to cook and present our dishes.  Our judges were Mr Redhead and Julie who had the difficult job of picking a winning team.

The dishes ranged from omlette to chicken burgers, pizza and chocolate gateau.  The winning team was "Lights, camera, burgers" who presented an amazing Starwars themed dessert complete with home-made icecream, mini cheesecakes and a fondant "death-star!"

This was great fun and was definitely an exercise in teamwork and cooperation.  Many skills were picked up along the way.  It was a fun way to round off our year in Room 19.
