Our Learning intention was to follow artist, Lichtenstein, to produce a self portrait using his pop art technique. Check out our self portraits below.

We used a number of techniques to produce our Lichtenstein pop art self portraits.  We began by using a mirror to sketch ourselves.  We focused on key features and had to carefully look at the positioning of our key facial features.

After we had finished our sketch, ensuring we had the correct detail, we sketched it on the pop art paper that was supplied.  We then used water colour to colour the background and then a layer of felt to colour the dots. We needed to make sure the water colour and the dots were the same colour, just a different shade.
