Bluestone PAL's Leaders
Physical Activity Leaders 2nd Leadership Course
Here at Bluestone we want our children being active, this includes organising games and activities at lunchtimes. Our PAL's Leaders attended their second Leadership course for a day, run by Sport Canterbury to gain the skills and confidence to facilitate this programme at our school. This programme has been up and running all term. Students put their training to the test, teaching other PALs students the games they had learnt whilst being observed by training tutors. Students were then given feedback on how they presented themselves as Leaders. This was a valuable day for the students who gained more confidence in becoming a Physical Activity Leader.
Our Physical Activity Leaders are role models for our children by providing them with a wide range of sports and physical activities for pupils of all ages across the school.
Transferable skills and competencies developed through PAL leadership training include communication, self-awareness, increased confidence, organisational skills, teamwork and managing others.
This programme will run throughout the year.
Our PAL's Leaders for 2017 are: Jorjia Perkin, Maia Rutherford, Chelsea Wilson, Grace Edwards-Bower, Charlie Storti, Jackson White, Nick Webb, Lila Hurst, Zara Cuthbertson, Jayda Prue, Charlize Batoon, Roshean O'Connor, Toby Clemett, Briana Grace, Neve Kerslake, Amy Ellis
