Room 20 have been putting their cooking skills to the test in order to deliver a delicious and balanced meal to enter in the Maggi POP-UP Kitchen Showdown.

During this term Room 20 have been working on creating a balanced main course meal to enter in the Maggi POP-UP KITCHEN SHOWDOWN.  

This cooking competition enables students to show off their cooking skills to the country! In Room 20 we had 8 teams with 2-5 students in each team. Each team came up with a name, logo and created their very own recipe with a few key requirements. These requirements included:

* The use of at least 1 participating MAGGI Recipe base as an ingredient in the dish - get creative and use the recipe base in a unique way.

* Be a main course meal and be able to serve a family of 4 people (2 adults & 2 children)

* Cost a maximum of $20 to make

* Be able to be made and plated in 30 minutes

As you can see from the pictures below the students worked hard to follow these requirements and the meals were outstanding, both visually and tasty!

Our entries will be available to view online at www.maggi.co.nz/kitchen-showdown.  The Maggi Judges will be choosing 5 semi-finalists that will feature on the Adam & Eve Show.  The 6th semi-finalist will be chosen by the public- via a public vote so please go online and vote for one of our teams!
