What a night, what a result! The Hall was sizzling with energy at Bluestone School on Thursday night when our annual Wearable Arts Competition got underway.

Students have been working hard during the last two terms to create their amazing artworks and it was clear to see ‘the magpie factor’ is well established in these creative original works within 4 sections. With an emphasis on using recycled materials to push the creative process, and think outside the square with clever problem solving in design, the Wearable Arts Competition at Bluestone school enriches thinking and creativity on many levels….. Just what we are all about at Bluestone. !!!!

We were joined by year three and four students who had recently completed a design unit based on constructing hats giving us a total of thirty exhibits.

Our Judges Sarah Thomas and Kate Arscott had a hard task in deciding the winners, and they both commented on the fantastic ideas within all the artworks presented.

We look forward to the Wearable Arts event continuing to grow and enrich our students.
