Modelling Art

Carmen Brown —

This term Room 3 have been learning a variety of modelling techniques using plasticine.

The children have been rolling, squeezing, manipulating, smoothing, and joining materials together. We then selected either a night or day scene and this formed the basis from which to work from. The children then added detail such as clouds, trees, flowers  to add layers to their art work.

Student Voice:

"I loved making the butterflies"

"It was fun pinching and rolling the plasticine"

"I loved the glitter bits"

"I think my tree looks pretty"

"I want to take it home to show my family"

The next stage is transferring these skills we have been learning over to clay.
