New Zealand Sign Language is one of the three official languages of New Zealand.

Our lovely Claire Hamilton is one of our learning assistants at Bluestone School.  Te Tahi absolutely love it when Claire comes to visit on Wednesday afternoons to teach us some NZSL.

Lately we have been learning how to sign the days of the week, colours and names of farm animals.

Tama - My favourite sign is 'Thursday' because you have to do two signs!

Eli - My favourite sign is 'cow'.  You have to make the horns with your hands.

Eva - I like doing 'Sunday' because I like Sundays.

Lachie - I like doing 'black' because it's my favourite colour.

Piper - I can do 'pink' and it's my favourite colour!
