Fonterra has kindly donated bottles of hand sanitiser to Bluestone School on behalf of the Fonterra Good Together in our Communities initiative.

As a school we ask all children and adults entering a classroom or school building to sanitise their hands. You can imagine we go through a lot of sanitiser so to receive 36 bottles of sanitiser from Fonterra has been a generous support.

One of our parents, Mr Hull, kindly nominated our school and Fonterra agreed to provide this donation to keep our people safe and well during this time.

It is wonderful when community comes together like this. Big thanks to Mr Hull and to Fonterra.

We encourage families to reinforce good hygiene practices at home. We ask our students to sneeze or cough into the crook of their arm and to wash hands after going to the toilet and before they eat. Together we can reduce the spread of virus. We have even noticed that the number of children away from school with the flu is well down on previous years so the efforts made are certainly worthwhile.
