Starry, Starry Nights
Room 10 created portraits in the style of Van Gogh's Starry Nights.
Room 10 learnt about artist Vincent Van Gogh. We studied the painting starry, starry night. The students chose an area around South Canterbury that meant something to them. At the time Room 10 was also learning about Matariki so we included the seven sisters in our pictures.
The students created landscapes stars using crayon and dye batik. Here's some of their thoughts about their learning.
