Success at Primary Schools Gymnastics Festival. 

A record number of Bluestone students competing in the SC Primary Schools Competition for 2017

ALPINE ENERGY SOUTH CANTERBURY PRIMARY SCHOOLS GYMNASTICS FESTIVAL 

 The festival will took place at the Southern Trust Events Centre.  This involved many teams from schools around the South Canterbury Region.  

Students have been worked hard all term learning and perfecting their routines, with the guidance of coaches, ex Bluestone student Ronan Galpin, Mr Inkster, Mrs Geddis and myself.   For many students this was the first time they had competed in front of others and for judges.  All students can be very proud of their efforts, they represented Bluestone with pride.  They positively faced the challenges ahead of them, showed teamwork, support for each other and all gave their best efforts.  Their commitment to many practices throughout this term paid off with some very successful results.

 We thank the coaches for all their support, and for giving up many hours of their time to help our teams.  With so many students involved this year you have all done an amazing job in getting these students up to the high standard needed for this event.

We would also like to thank the adult helpers on the day, firstly with hair preparations for the girls, those who transported students to and from and lastly those that supervised teams on the day.  With your help it made for a very happy and successful day.
