Year 5 / 6 Speech Competition

2 - 3 Students from each class presented their speeches. They had to choose from the topics.

• We learn more from failing than from succeeding.

• The pro and cons of AI

• Should cell phones have been banned from school.

• Are dogs really man's best friend?

• Teachers should have to sit tests like us.

Johnny Blackbeard placed 1st, Elia Martin placed 2nd and Nachu Sarath came third.

Johnny will go on to compete against other schools from the Timaru District on Thursday this week.
