A Window Into My Lockdown

Kate Vaughan —

During our experience of Lockdown many of us have used our windows as a strong connection to the life we had to put on hold outside of our bubbles. How we spent the time looking out of our windows meant different things to different people.

Think Tank learning pod have taken the opportunity to reflect on their lockdown experience and share these stories through Art. Classes took the idea and spun it in a range of ways. Room 14 used mixed media to present artworks including ideas about daydreams, fantasy, reality, what we were missing, and where we would rather have been, or a mix of them all.

Other classes presented their work using symbols and mini images, of the aspects of life that they treasured, and / or missed. These images have created great discussion points and are a lovely memento of this experience.

Have a look at the fantastic variety of samples the students have completed in the image gallery.
